Paediatric Psychology
Being a kid is supposed to be a stress-free time of wonderment and growth, however research shows that 14 - 20% of children will suffer from a mental health condition at some point in their childhood. The most common childhood mental health conditions are anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, separation anxiety disorder, specific phobias and social anxiety disorder. These conditions can significantly impact a child's daily life, as well as their social and academic functioning.

Research also shows us that the key to managing children’s mental health concerns is early intervention.

At QLD Clinical Psychology our truly compassionate Child Psychologists understand it’s a stressful time for caregivers when their child is struggling, and provide support and guidance from your very first meeting. This includes providing thorough assessment, diagnosis (if appropriate), and treatment services to children, adolescents and their families across social, emotional, behavioural and educational areas.

At QLD Clinical Psychology we also liaise with your GP, school and Paediatrician to provide the best holistic care we can, because as they say, it takes a village.
